Goals / Remit
The purpose of the Association is to encourage, promote and coordinate studies and researches into the evaluation of the SSH, in all its aspects: quality representations, bibliometric studies, qualitative analysis, intra and extra-academic impact, societal role, uses and effects of evaluations, etc. It particularly takes as its mission to serve as an international network of all kinds of stakeholders involved in research evaluation with the aim to improve research evaluation in SSH and beyond. The association’s credo is to support and integrate the diversity in views and voices of all stakeholders, disciplines, and countries and to thus promote a pluralist approach to research evaluation. Members can be individuals as well as institutions.
ENRESSH’s aim is to contribute to a better understanding and recognition of the value of SSH research, by researchers in other fields of science, its stakeholders and society as a whole. SSH are understood broadly including law and the arts.Main EU files targeted

Complementary Information
None of these people are paid. SOME people in Europe work by conviction.
This statistic is meaningless as all activity is unpaid. Some work full time on evaluation, others not.
Most of our members are actually active in relevant activities. Many members work even more than 100% if 40h per week is considered 100%; most of our members work around 60-70h per week, much of it dedicated to research evaluation.Person in charge of EU relations

EvalHum Initiative merged in December 2020 with the COST-Action CA15137 ENRESSH and took over the name ENRESSH as EvalHum was the founder of ENRESSH and activities in the last 4 year were carried out mainly under the name of ENRESSH. EvalHum members (not all were ENRESSH members) agreed to take over the name ENRESSH as it is an accepted player in Higher Education policy across Europe.
