Goals / Remit
European Justice Forum is a not-for-profit organisation organised under Belgian law with its registered office in Brussels. It has a current membership of some 40 major companies and organisations. European Justice Forum (EJF) is a coalition of business, organisations and individuals that wish to promote a fair and balanced system of civil justice in Europe. It seeks to ensure that those with a legitimate grievance have access to justice. It wants a system in which innovation and enterprise can flourish and which enhances the international competitiveness of Europe. More specifically, EJF is active on following EU initiatives on consumer collective redress, antitrust damages and Alternative Dispute Resolution in the financial sector and initiatives on collective redress at national level. EJF pursues its goals at EU level. First, through its membership and its office in Brussels, EJF engages in debate with opinion leaders at both European and national level. It seeks to advocate for balanced policies in developing civil justice systems. It develops position papers and other outreach materials, and it engages with stakeholders in Brussels. EJF is funded by its Members, via their Membership fees, which are reflected in the annual accounts.
