Goals / Remit
As the only European advocacy in Korea, the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) is committed to advancing the interests of companies from European Union (EU), European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states, and the United Kingdom (UK) operating in Korea. Furthermore, it cooperates with organizations that share mutual interests to promote optimal business environment and fairly represent the European business community. To achieve these objectives, the ECCK focuses on:
1. Ensuring a fair and open business environment by facilitating dialogue with the government
2. Collecting and disseminating information on the business as well as economic and regulatory developments in Korea and Europe
3. Creating networking opportunities for its members
4. Contributing to the Korean society by supporting corporate social responsibility activities and promoting good corporate governance practicesMain EU files targeted
The European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) is primarily focusing on the KOR-EU FTA. Although the ECCK is not officially involved in any EU initiative except being subcontracted for the EU Gateway Programme, the ECCK is heavily involved in many activities reconciled with the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea.
