    Goals / Remit

    To prevent and detect terrorist and criminal activity
    affecting the international transportation of
    passengers and cargo.
    • To study and recommend methods and uniform
    practices for establishing safeguards against loss
    of property in transit.
    • To encourage and develop the exchange
    of information and experience among Law
    Enforcement Agencies countering criminal
    activities at airports and seaports.
    • To encourage cooperation between elements
    of the international trade community for the
    development of improved security measures for international cargo.
    • To become a more inclusive and integrated body within Europe whilst seeking to develop
    a strategic platform from whence the Association can be increasingly influential over the
    Security and Transport policies affecting Europe.

    Main EU files targeted

    EAASP is periodically represented on the Advisory Board of research projects.

    We recently finished engaged with the - Horizon 2020 - SAURON – (Scalable multidimensionAl sitUation awaReness sOlution for protectiNg european ports) project which concluded in December 2020.

    Where aligned with our objectives as practitioners we are also consider participation as a project partner.

    When appropriate, EAASP contributes to SAGAS and SAGMAS meetings held by DG Move (see below).
