Goals / Remit
Founded in 1961, Eurogypsum is a European federation of national associations of producers of gypsum products (i.e. plaster and plasterboard), based in Brussels and registered in Belgium as an AISBL (International Non-Profit Association). Its role is to promote the interests of the European gypsum industry and ensure that there is awareness at a European level of the contribution gypsum products and our industry make to society in general and to the built environment in particular.
The European gypsum sector is one of the few fully integrated industries within the construction products field. With a turnover of EUR 7 billion, the European gypsum and anhydrite industry operates some 111 factories and 132 quarries; it generates employment directly to 16,700 persons. It manufactures 1.7 billion m² plasterboards and 7.7 million tonnes of plaster and other gypsum products every year.Main EU files targeted

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
