Ekonomski institut, Zagreb - Institute of Economics (EIZ) is a public research institute located in Zagreb, Croatia. Established in 1939 the Institute has continued to support economic development in Croatia and southeastern Europe for almost a century through diligent scientific research in the field of economics. Supporting its main activity of scientific and development research, the Institute provides consulting services to public and private stakeholders, conducts scientific and professional trainings, organizes scientific and educational events such as conferences, seminars, and publishes relevant publications in its field. Following the mission of raising awareness of economic issues among policymakers, business-sector stakeholders, the media and general public the Institute abides by the core values of open science - the quality of scientific work, independence and impartiality in scientific work, relevance, ethics, openness to the public, and efficiency and rationality.
