    Goals / Remit

    Edison (www.edison.it) is one of the oldest energy companies in Europe. It is a leader of the national energy market in Italy as well as being very active in the sector of electricity and gas in several European countries. Edison is involved in ambitious investments projects, in partnership with major stakeholders, reflecting its commitment to the establishment of a new way of generating energy. Edison invests in the development of several energy sources and projects of highest strategic importance to the EU. As part of the EDF group, Edison plans to further invest in energy transition in Italy and in the other markets where it is active.

    Edison’s advocacy activities are only related to the field of energy. We provide our contributions to all the public consultations, we formulate position papers on specific subjects and we arrange meetings with the EU institutions. We are currently following several dossiers related to the Green Deal, its climate objectives and relevant legislation.

    Operational program: Connecting Europe Facility Transport
    Project name: HYMOT - Hydrogen Mobility on TEN-T Corridor
    Action: The project foresees the realization of three hydrogen refueling stations for heavy duty vehicles operating in three different sites in the North of Italy in the areas of Venezia, Verona and Piacenza along the TEN-T core network. These areas present a strategic added-value due to their relevance as traffic hubs and/or logistic centres, in the framework of Mediterranean corridor.

    Project name: FLEX4H2 - Flexibility for Hydrogen
    Action: The project aims at moving technological frontiers for low-emission combustion of hydrogen to fuel modern gas turbines at high firing temperatures and pressures, beyond the latest state-of-the-art. This will be achieved whilst maintaining high engine performance, efficiency, fuel and load flexibility, without diluents.
