ECFIA's scope is broader than monitoring the regulatory framework on EU level; many activities are on the ground projects to increase worker protection and raise awareness of best practice in terms of controlling fibrous dust exposure.
With regards to costs, we do not have a manned EU office, and the "staff" are employed by the member companies, who provide work to ECFIA pro bona to further the scientific understanding and knowledge of fibre in the broader industry workplaces.
In 2023 we have not worked directly with the commission nor have we engaged any intermediary to act on our behalf.
The €10,000 - €24,999 covers the estimated % of the subscription fees paid to Eurometaux, ERIF and CII which we believe covers relevant activities falling under the scope of the transparency register with the commission

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
