Dwr Cymru Welsh Water

Welsh Water is the 6th largest of the ten regulated water and sewerage companies in England and Wales.

We wish to raise stakeholder awareness of the company and its unique not for profit operating model in the water industry in England and Wales. We also wish to brief officials on the main environmental commitments and initiatives undertaken to improve the local water quality including our top priorities for the coming years:
• Water quality and water management in Wales;
• Capacity of the Welsh sewerage network and pressure on its urban sewerage system; and
• Welsh Water’s environmental commitments, including its involvement in the ‘RainScape’ programme. Welsh Water would more specifically like to present you with the underlying principle and expected outcomes of this innovative project.

We would also appreciate an exchange of views on the implementation of the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive and more broadly on the European water policy framework, including the main priorities of the new European Commission in the next five years.
