    1. het bevorderen op wereldschaal van scheepsontmanteling op milieuhygienisch en technisch hoog niveau waaronder begrepen voormalige boorplatforms en vergelijkbare objecten;
    2. het samenbrengen van de sterkste scheepsontmantelingswerven in een internationaal functionerend platform en het uitbreiden daarvan;
    3. het opstellen van minimumstandaarden en richtlijnen met betrekking tot scheepsontmanteling en het bevorderen van certificeringen van werven;
    4. het bevorderen van de uitwisseling van kennis, ervaring, noviteiten,ideeën en informatie daaromtrent binnen en buiten de vereniging
    5.het verrichten van al hetgeen dat met het vorenstaande in de ruimste zin verband houdt of daartoe bevorderlijk kan zijn
