    Goals / Remit

ECPC works for a Europe of equality, where all European cancer patients have timely and affordable access to the best treatment and care available. We work to ensure that the scope of the entire cancer care pathway effectively includes prevention, treatment, survivorship and palliative care. The main objectives of the years to come are to further support and advocate for cancer patient rights, to develop a strong engagement with the European Institutions members, to strengthen and make more frequent the connection with ECPC members, partners, and stakeholders during a period of many challenges in both the internal and external environment.

    Main EU files targeted

ECPC participated in all stages of Europe's Beating Cancer Plan consultation and now actively contributes to the monitoring of the implementation process. ECPC also works on the Health Technology Assessment regulation and the In Vitro diagnostics regulation. The revision of the Pharmaceutical strategy is also among some of the most important priorities for ECPC. ECPC also participated in the consultations for cancer screening, Health Data space,EMA Data Standards Strategy consultation 2021, Directive of the Cross border care and the financial products for cancer survivors consultation
