Goals / Remit
ECOLEC is an Extended Producer Responsibility System for WEEE (wasted electrical and electronic equipment) management in Spain. The purpose of Ecolec Foundation is to establish the most efficient system for the collection, transport, recycling, recovery and disposal of WEEE and batteries, ensuring the member companies the fulfilment of its obligations in the field of waste management (according with EU Directives and Spanish legislation) and making this task respectfully with the environment.
The Ecolec Foundation is a non-profit organization created by business associations that represent the sector of manufacturers and importers of large and small appliances.
