    Goals / Remit

    EIM, the European Rail Infrastructure Managers, was established to promote the interests and views of the infrastructure managers in Europe, following the liberalisation of the railway market. The organisation was fully established in spring 2002.


    - Improve and promote the development of rail transport mode
    - Create intra- and intermodal level playing field;
    - Provide efficient cost effective network and allocate infrastructure capacity;
    - Allow infrastructure managers to operate in an independent and non-discriminatory manner;
    Provide expertise to the appropriate bodies on EU level including the European Rail Agency (ERA)
