Akuo Energy, leading French independent renewable energy power producer, is an integrated energy company active in all areas of the value chain of project management in renewable energy (solar, wind, biomass, hydro and ocean energy).

With activities in many countries, Akuo Energy develops, finances, constructs, operates, and owns more than 47 plants with an installed total capacity of nearly 527 MW and more than 1900 MW currently in development.

Akuo Energy is involved in powering 734,335 households, and an amount of 444,872 tons of CO2 emissions have been avoided in 2013. The Groupe generated consolidated sales of 104 million euros in 2014. The aggregate amount invested in the form of debt and equity by Akuo Energy from 2007 to end-2014, in green power plants, is about 1.6 billion euros.

With 177 employees around the world, Akuo Energy has worked from day one to design exemplary renewable energy-based power plants that fit seamlessly with their environment and appropriately meet the scale of the various countries and areas' needs.

Under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg, the Akuo Foundation initiates and supports not-for-profit sustainable development projects. It offers partners the opportunity to help underprivileged populations and contribute to environmental protection around the world. The Foundation’s missions cover four key goals:
