    Goals / Remit

    Zertifizierung von nachhaltigen und entwaldungsfreien Lieferketten für den Kaffeesektor. Das Zertifizierungssystem basiert auf ökologischen, sozialen und ökonomischen Nachhaltungskriterien. Die Ermittlung und Verifizierung von Treibhausgasemissionen entlang der Lieferketten ist möglich. 4C zertifiziert vor allem Kleinbauern in knapp 30 Ländern. 4C wurde in einem Multistakeholderprozess entwickelt und wird kontinuierlich weiter verbessert. Moderne Technologien zur Überprüfung von Landnutzungsänderungen und Inklusion von Kleinbauern zur Sicherstellung der Rückverfolgbarkeit in den internationalen Lieferketten werden eingesetzt.
