    Goals / Remit

    Saco is a trade union confederation of 22 affiliated associations which together have over 650 000 members. Members are university graduates or professionals with a college degree. The members - employees, students, researchers, self-employed people and retired professionals - include economists, lawyers, physiotherapists, graduate engineers, doctors, teachers and members of many other professions.
    Saco assists its affiliated associations by analysing, debating and forming public opinion on matters of concern for the associations and their members.
    The hallmark of Saco is high quality analysis. Saco publishes reports, arranges seminars, provides op-eds and participates in many different contexts with a view to influence political decisions. Saco is politically unaffiliated.
