New technologies offer new opportunities. GUTMA – the Global Uncrewed Traffic Management Association – expects a massive drone ecosystem to emerge. The Global Unmanned Traffic Management Association (GUTMA) is a non-profit consortium of worldwide stakeholders in drone industries and the associated traffic management systems. GUTMA wants to foster safe, secure and efficient drone operations. As this is an innovative way of flying, GUTMA wants to engage with the European institutions on the mentioned policy portfolios. Additionally, GUTMA is uniquely placed to assist the Commission and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in the implementation of the rules, including in the respective expert group and other working groups.
