Goals / Remit
The goal of JEF is the creation of a democratic European federation as a crucial ingredient for peace and a guarantee for a more free, just and democratic society. JEF promotes true European Citizenship and strives for a more just and integrated society on the European continent. It is independent from all political parties and ideologies and pursues its objectives autonomously. Nevertheless, we do work with other political movements, public institutions, associations and the general public in the sharing of ideas and encouraging debate on the EU.
Main EU files targeted
Since June 2016 JEF-NL operates an own policy group tasked to draft contributions to the European Commission´s public consultations. We follow policy areas which are of special interest to our members and which are regarded as holding great potential for further action on a European level. Currently we are following the EU´s actions on space and social policy.

All members are volunteers who do not receive payment or financial compensation for their work. Mall work done by the JEF-NL policy group will be done online. For the time being due to budget limitations no physical meetings are sheduled. Therefore, no financial expenses will be necessary.
