Goals / Remit
The Platform formation was initiated in 2006 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic in response to the European Commission's Initiative - ''technology platforms'' (COM (2004) 353). The former intention was to create a tool to support mutual awareness of bodies active in the area of hydrogen technologies and to coordinate activities related to the development of hydrogen related applications. The platform always welcome new members aboard.
The Platform mission is to support the development of hydrogen technologies and implement hydrogen market in the Czech Republic.
The Platform contributes to the coordination of mutual activities run by bodies developing hydrogen technologies and hydrogen market, following both domestic and foreign organisations and financial resources.
The Platform defines, represents, supports, defends and enforces duly justified common interests of its members with the goal to create a suitable environment for the hydrogen market.Main EU files targeted

Communication activities
Through our social sites and website we actively promote all information related to hydrogen economy. We put emphasis on delivering EU related information to our members and to wider public. We are active in experts field where we produce technical documents mainly aiming at analysis of hydrogen mobility, and potential of hydrogen in energy and industry fields for the Czech Republic. We also proactively communicate and serve as a expert wide platform for state institutions, f.e. Ministry of industry and trade. We've been actively cooperating on the final form of Czech hydrogen strategy, which will be published later this year.

Since we are a non-profit organisation we heavily rely on EU and national funding. We focus all of our efforts to promote hydrogen also between the wider public. For that purpose we mainly communicate the topic of mobility where we actively promote hydrogen as an fuel rather than a feedstock. See the video for yourself. We have also provided wider public with FAQ about hydrogen, for that, see the attached link.

Apart from all previously mentioned activities, we also organise various stakeholder workshops and actively connect the private sector with the state sector in order to ramp up the creation of hydrogen market. In our case we mostly collaborate with Czech institutions and Czech companies but in the recent years we have also organised various seminars between V4 countries. We find it crucial to promote opportunities that hydrogen offers in V4 countries, since the overal interest in hydrogen is lower in those states compared to western EU countries such as Germany or Denmark. Each year we also organise Hydrogen Days Conference. International, mostly EU-wide, conference with over 200 participants where experts meet and discuss possible ways how to establish hydrogen market. Our conference is also focusing on research and development projects related to improvement of hydrogen technologies.
