Goals / Remit
EMN is a non-profit network composed of European companies active in slaughtering and meat processing
The purpose of EMN is:
• to strengthen the long term position of the European meat sector;
• to contribute to the improvement of political decisions affecting the meat sector in the long term by means of accomplishing or funding strategic, economical and policy studies;
• to create a forum for discussions on developments in relation to the regulatory status of meat and meat products within the European Union and in relation to third countries;
• to create a forum for discussions on technical and other similar developments within the meat industry and in relation to other relevant economic sectors.Main EU files targeted

- international relationships and agreements that could involve the trade of meat products (ie: TTIP, CETA, SPS etc)
- veterinary and animal health issues;
