EU Transparency Register

Goals / Remit
Promotion of policies and public support leading to the discovery and adoption of innovative medicines in Ireland and Europe.
Main EU files targeted
The main focus of IPHA activities is targeted at European and Irish pharmaceutical legislation and policies. The main focus of our current activities in relation to European legislation and policy is the revision of the General Pharmaceutical Legislation, the Orphan Medicines Regulation and Regulation of Medicinal Products for Paediatric use. We also focus on other legislation (e.g. in relation to PFAS and the forthcoming Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive). We are keenly interested in competitiveness and health policies of the Union and as proposed and developed by the Commission.
To understand policies and proposal and to put forward our Association's perspectives on them, we seek to meet member and officials of the European Commission and of the European Parliament, and national representatives at the Council of Ministers in various formations.Address

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
