Complementary Information
We are an European Association that gathers professionals in the mental health field, specialized in trauma relief and treatment. Our organization is present in 41 countries with 38.000 professionals working in the private sector, in National Health Services in different countries, in Hospitals, in NGOs. We have a lot of expertise and scientific research in the field of trauma and dealing with the consequences of traumatic events, in individuals, in families, in groups and in entire communities and populations. We have a lot of experience and publications in working with EMDR treatment in mass disasters, with war victims, with victims of terroristic attacks. We intervene in the acute phase of trauma and also in chronic traumatization, with children, adolescents and adults. Law enforcement and military are supported with EMDR in many countries, since international guidelines and the World Health Organization recommend it. Our Association works with prevention and treatment.
