    Goals / Remit

The International Rescue Committee helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict
and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future.
IRC teams provide health care, infrastructure, learning and economic support to people in 40 countries,
with special programs designed for women and children.
With programmes in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean, we work in refugee camps, disaster
    areas
and countries that host refugees. We also work with communities recovering from war or experiencing
prolonged crisis or conflict. The IRC was founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein.
When an emergency arises, the IRC arrives on the scene within 72 hours with urgently needed supplies
and expertise that protect people caught in the midst of chaos. We commit to stay as long as we are
needed, helping survivors to heal, recover and rebuild their communities to be stronger, more stable and
    more democratic.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
