    Goals / Remit

    R3 is an enterprise software firm, with two key products, Corda Enterprise, a blockchain platform, and Conclave, a confidential computing tool. Founded in 2015, we are a fast-growing company with over 400 employees based at offices in New York, London, Dublin, Singapore, Hong Kong, São Paulo and San Francisco.

    Our technology is used in the financial sector, insurance, trade finance, the public sector and many others. Corda is transforming entire industries by digitalizing the processes and systems that firms rely on to connect and transact with each other.

    Main EU files targeted

    R3 is actively contributing to the conversation around Distributed Ledger Technology (or Blockchain Technology). As the technology is developing significantly, there are a wide range of potential areas of focus with regards to EU initiatives, policies and legislative files. However, the ones that we are currently focused on are:

    - INATBA and the European Blockchain Partnership;
    - Work by the European Central Bank, European Commission and European Parliament concerning DLT based technologies, such as stablecoins and CBDC;
    - European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA): The Distributed Ledger Technology Applied to Securities Markets
    - Work by the European Investment Bank concerning bond issuance on DLT

    The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

    1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
