    Movendi International’s mission is to unite, strengthen and empower civil society to tackle alcohol and other drugs as serious obstacles to development on personal, community, societal and global level.
    Movendi International advocates comprehensive and evidence-based solutions consisting of public policy measures as well as scientific research, prevention, education and awareness raising, capacity building and treatment and rehabilitation.

    Other activities

    Movendi International’s work rests on four principles, seeking to create the conditions for all people to lead happier, healthier, richer and freer lives together.

    1-Harness the potential of every human being by developing life skills, critical thinking, a sense of self-esteem and the capacity to engage in the community.

    2-Support families by providing help to treat and overcome alcohol and other drug use disorders affecting the user as well as the children and spouse.

    3-Strengthen communities by providing safe and enabling environments where people of all ages, and especially children and youth can live up to their full potential.

    4-Develop societies by advocating population-level policy solutions to prevent and reduce harm caused by alcohol and other drugs.

    5-Independence from addiction industries
    Movendi International and all its member organizations are independent of any ties, financial or otherwise, to the alcohol and tobacco industry. Movendi International and all its members do not collaborate, financially or otherwise, with the alcohol and tobacco industries (producers, distributors, retailers and marketers) and their Social Aspects and Public Relation Organizations (SAPROs).
