    Goals / Remit

    DIE PAPIERINDUSTRIE e.V. is the European association representing the German paper industry. It represents 104 companies, including major international companies as well as small, medium-sized, and family-run businesses. Together, our members represent over 94% of the industry in terms of turnover. We speak for the largest national paper and pulp industry in Europe and the fourth largest in the world. We offer a wide range of renewable and recyclable fibre solutions to EU citizens: from packaging to textile, hygiene and tissue products, printing and graphic papers as well as speciality papers, but also bio-chemicals for food and pharmaceuticals, bio-composites and bioenergy. It represents political interests at national level. As a member of the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI), it is actively involved in the European activities of the industry
