    Goals / Remit

CUMEDIAE is a nonprofit agency, working as a professional consultancy, whose main goal is to support the international dimension of projects and activities linked to the arts and the creative economy, and their access to funding. It is moved by the same the objectives of the 2005 UNESCO Convention on cultural diversity.
We know that we live a moment of model change in the funding and management of culture and arts. And we are convinced about the contribution of creative industries to job creation and economic growth. Not only in Europe, but also in less developed regions. That is, creative industries are also a tool of development.
We also assume that technology and new media have created new connections between arts and culture and other players of social and economic life.
CUMEDIAE and its network of professionals try to be at the center of these changes, and we build, advice or manage cross border projects around them. Among others, we are running the wiki platform Culture Agora.

    Main EU files targeted

We follow EU calls for tenders and calls for proposals in the fields of creative industries and culture; we are interested in all policies related to culture and creativity. We are currently partners in Consortia with projects funded by the European Commission.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
