    Goals / Remit

The Confederation of the European Bicycle Industry - CONEBI - is the result of the merger between COLIPED the Association of the European Two-Wheeler Parts’ and Accessories’ Industry and COLIBI the Association of the European Bicycle and EPAC Industry. Thus CONEBI represents the interests of the European Bicycle, Electric Pedal-Assisted Cycles and Parts & Accessories Industries.
CONEBI groups the European National Bicycle Industry Associations.

    Main EU files targeted

The European Bicycle Industry has the priority of putting high-quality and safe products on the market and for this reason CONEBI is currently participating in the discussions affecting the Bicycle Industry including:

    - technical discussions relevant to bikes, e-bikes and their parts such as the Revisions of the EU Batteries Directive, EU Machinery Directive and EU General Product Safety Directive

    - analyzing how cycling can become safer through connectivity by being a member of the EU CCAM Single Platform and being active in the Revision of the EU ITS Directive

CONEBI does not only focus on the quality and safety of the Bicycle Industry products: CONEBI is actively working for the proper application of the European Union Directive on Waste Electric & Electronic Equipment and the European Union Regulation REACH to face the risks that can be posed by chemicals.

    CONEBI is also working on
    - the issue of counterfeits,
    - a re-industrialization project
    - promoting cycling infrastructures

  • Meetings

    Meetings

    2 meetings found. Download meetings

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
