Goals / Remit
In haar streven naar een rechtvaardige samenleving waarbij mens en natuur in evenwicht samenleven, focust CATAPA op de negatieve impact van metaalmijnbouw op mens en milieu.
Daarbij streven we volgende doelstellingen na:
- Het stoppen van de negatieve ecologische en sociale ongelijkheid die gepaard gaat met grootschalige metaal mijnbouwprojecten.
Het reduceren van de productie van producten die nieuw ontgonnen metalen en mineralen bevatten.
Onze hoofdactiviteiten zijn:
Campagne voeren over de impact van mijnbouw en duurzame productie van elektronica in Vlaanderen.
Ondersteuning van partners en lokale gemeenschappen in Latijns-Amerika die bedreigd worden door grootschalige mijnbouwprojecten.
Beweging creëren rond duurzame productie en consumptie van metalen.
Netwerking, onderzoek & stimuleren van alternatieven.
