CLOUD INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES PROVIDERS IN EUROPE   (CISPE)

    EU Transparency Register

    041495920038-44 First registered on 29 Dec 2015

    Goals / Remit

CISPE advocates for the creation of the cloud infrastructure single market to harness the power of IaaS and achieve Europe’s ambitious employment and growth goals.

    Main EU files targeted

Encourage “cloud first” public procurement policy initiatives with a “comply or explain” requirement when costlier onsite proprietary computing is preferred over cloud infrastructures

Promote coherent EU-wide security requirements and international technical security standards across all Member States

Support IaaS specific cloud privacy requirements, including through a privacy Code of Conduct for Infrastructure providers

Keep the EU cloud infrastructure market open, competitive and free from “lock-in” in single proprietary technologies or services

Ensure that the EU legal framework takes due account of the particular features of IaaS cloud computing

Contribute to reducing carbon footprint and use of energy-efficient cloud technologies

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.

1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
