Goals / Remit
CHILD CIRCLE is a centre of expertise on child protection and European measures, founded in Brussels in 2014. It is a non-profit organisation established under Belgian law. Our vision is a Europe where children are protected from violence through effective cooperation across professions and borders. Our goals are to enable national policy makers and practitioners to share best practices and work together across Europe and to support regional policy makers in adopting European measures which bring about real improvements to children’s lives. We have a particular focus on children involved in justice proceedings, including child migrants and children involved in criminal proceedings, as victims, witnesses, suspects or accused.
Main EU files targeted
EU Justice and Home Affairs, including children's rights and child protection, the EU asylum and migration pact, the common european asylum system, the rights of child victims of crime and the rights of child suspects or accused of crime.

The list below only covers meetings held since November 2014 with commissioners, their cabinet members or directors-general at the European Commission; other lobby meetings with lower-level staff may have taken place, but the European Commission doesn't proactively publish information about these meetings. For more information about which commissioner is responsible for which portfolio, check out this link: https://commissioners.ec.europa.eu/index_en All information below comes from European Commission web pages.
1 July 2024: We have noted that some meetings are appearing in duplicate, ie. some meetings seem to be listed twice. This seems to be because the Commission changes some element of a meeting data after the meeting has first been listed, which causes LobbyFacts to register it as a new meeting. We are investigating further.
