BCI provides investment management services for British Columbia’s public sector and is one of the largest asset managers in Canada. As of March 31, 2024, BCI has C$250.4 billion of gross assets under management. BCI seeks global investment opportunities across a range of asset classes. Our investment returns help our institutional clients build a financially secure future for their beneficiaries. BCI is headquartered in Victoria, BC, with offices in New York, Vancouver, and London. BCI is a significant investor in Europe and the UK, with investments in private equity, infrastructure, public equities, real estate (debt & equity), & various investment funds. Pursuant to its governing statute, BCI operates at arm’s length from the BC government. The majority of BCI’s board is appointed by pension plan clients and BCI’s board is prohibited from involvement in investment decisions. BCI’s CIO supervises day-to-day management and is responsible for investment and operational decisions.
