(BWGV) vertritt rund 750 Genossenschaften, darunter Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken, landwirtschaftliche Genossenschaften, Genossenschaften aus den Bereichen Handel, Handwerk, Energie und Dienstleistungen sowie weitere Unternehmen, die der Genossenschaftsorganisation angehören. Die Aufgaben des BWGV sind qua Satzung: Bildung, Beratung, Interessenvertretung, Prüfung.
