Goals / Remit
The Romanian Landscape Architects Association - AsoP represents, supports and promotes the landscape architect profession both nationally and internationally. The organisation is also participating to the development of the landscape architecture field and acts to rise public’s awareness for topics related to landscape and environment. As a national representative of the International Federation of Landscape Architects, European Region (IFLA Europe) the association also acts for the development of a sustainable living environment as well as for the protection and conservation of historical, cultural and natural heritage.
AsoP Romania aims:
>To promote excellence within the landscape architecture field;
>To outline landscape architects’ activity through exhibitions, conferences, publications, etc.;
>To promote educational, research, scientific, expertise and consultancy activities in landscape architecture, environment protection and sustainable development;
>To shape the legislative framework in order to support landscape architects’ activities;

> introduction of landscape architect occupation within the Romanian Occupation Code
> modification and adaptation on the Romanian law on green spaces to address the green infrastructure topic, proposal that is currently undergoing the legislativ process within the Romanian Parliament (in the Deputy Chamber - decizional chamber)
