Communication activities
CEIS organises the following flagship events:
Universités d'Été de la Défense (Summer Defence Conference) (http://www.universite-defense.org) held each September in France, brings together some 500 of France's most senior defence sector representatives from parliament, government, the Ministry of Defence, industry, the media and civil society.
International Cybersecurity Forum (FIC) (https://www.forum-fic.com/en/home.htm) held in January in Lille, France. The FIC has in just over a decade become Europe's second largest cybersecurity event, with the 2020 edition gathering close to 12,500 stakeholders from across the cybersecurity landscape in Europe and beyond. Held over three days, the FIC mixes plenaries, FIC talks, workshops and seminars, strategic and technical challenges and a large exhibition with public and private sector actors.
CEIS supports the organisation of the Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security (https://www.dakarforum.org/en/), usually held in November. This pan-African conference brings together Heads of States and Governments from the region, international partners and other peace and security stakeholders.
CEIS is a co-organiser of the Vauban Sessions together with the French Rapid Reaction Corps. The Vauban Sessions are dedicated to exploring the impact of digital transformation on military forces across the NATO alliance; The first edition, held in January 2019, focused on "Training for Operations in a Digital Environment", and brought together close to 200 representatives of allied forces. https://vauban-sessions.orgOther activities
CEIS EU's key activities include participation in European projects including H2020 and ISF, and the conduct of studies and development of strategic recommendations for its public and private sector clients. CEIS EU Office does not directly engage in lobbying or public affairs activities.
