    Goals / Remit

    The mission of Reconnaître — Open Recognition Alliance (Reconnaître) is to build an open and learning society based on the recognition of the talents, skills and aspirations of individuals, communities and territories; encourage, promote, support and federate open initiatives and innovations that contribute to it.

    Our main policy targets are:

    Education, training and youth: the Bologna Process, the Copenhagen Process, the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (ET 2020), the European Agenda for adult learning, the European Education Area, Upskilling Pathways , the promotion of European values.

    Employment and social affairs: equal opportunities, social inclusion, European Pillar of Social Rights, Europe in a changing world - Inclusive, innovative and reflective societies .

    Digital economy & society: the digital agenda for Europe, privacy, personal data protection, trust infrastructures.

    Communication activities

    To influence national and European policies in the field of digital technology and education (initial and continuing), employment and citizenship:

    We prepare and circulate information, documents and position papers e.g. the Bologna Open Recognition Declaration (http://www.openrecognition.org/bord), the Open Recognition Framework.

    We organise the Open Recognition Week (http://week.openrecognition.org) to mobilise the civil society in a public demonstration of the opportunities using alternative and innovative methods and tools to recognise the talents and achievements of citizens.

    We organise events, meetings and conferences (e.g. epic.openrecognition.org) where we invite members of the European Commission to speak and meet out members.

    We actively apply to / participate in formal and informal consultations (e.g. EUROPEAN EDUCATION AND TRAINING EXPERT PANEL).

    We involve our members in policy developments at national and European levels.

    We support our members in the submission of European projects (e.g. Erasmus+, Horizon 2020).
