    Goals / Remit

STASIS operates in cryptocurrency business. We digitize financial assets by putting them on the blockchain in a secure and transparent way. One EURS-token represents one euro, and is fully backed by actual euro currency kept in a reserve.

STASIS puts a lot of effort to improve the perception of the industry and show that crypto-businesses can operate in a fully legal and transparent environment. When designing EURS, STASIS contracted Tiang&Co (a Hong Kong's affiliate of PWC) and Ganado advocates (a leading Maltese law firm). STASIS received a legal status of a virtual financial asset in Malta, and has been a part of the Maltese workforce behind the cryptocurrency regulatory framework introduced in summer 2018.

    Communication activities

Malta's Virtual Financial Assets Act. We received a consultation paper on Virtual currencies released by MFSA in November 2017, and provided our feedback in January 2018 with several suggestions.

One of our suggestions regarding experience and proficiency relevance of a team behind a virtual asset project has made it into the Act.
