    Complementary Information

Since UIA is an association with a global reach and is involved in a wide variety of activities, it is very difficult to quantify the time directly or indirectly attributable to specific activities covered by the Register.

These estimates presented above are mainly based on the time spent by the staff involved in the coordination of UIA events addressing the activities described under heading 9. They implement the decisions of UIA Commissions organising each one of the events. Such commissions are composed of numerous legal professionals from different countries, and each commission has a President, a Vice President and a Secretary, all of whom could be directly involved in every event. Typically, speakers of such events number from 3-6.
