Goals / Remit
This organization is working for the topics within the portfolio of Mr. Frans Timmermans. According to him, (and our organization strongly supports this) the economic recovery from the corona crisis should be based on the European Green Deal. As a part of this deal the goal is that Europe will reach climate neutrality by 2050. This means a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions up to -55% by 2030. One of the measures to achieve this, as proposed by Mr. Timmermans is by planting 2 billion trees extra in Europe. Our organization has the aim to create transparency how many trees are planted in order to reach the goal. We will visualize on the website where these trees are planted, by which organization in every EU country and what the specificities are of the different species.
The result will be that we create a positive story about what the EU is doing for the climate. By increasing transparency the EU citizens can see that the EU keeps their promises.Main EU files targeted
