    Goals / Remit

Women in Finance Belgium (WIF) is a unique non-profit association focussed on improving gender equality in the financial sector. The WIF Charter presented to Belgian financial institutions in June 2019 attracted >90% of them to join the association. The Charter reflects the aspiration of signatory firms to work together to achieve gender balance at all levels across the financial sector. Signatories commit to setting goals, measuring progress, and taking concrete action. Initiatives include: workshops for members on gender pay gap measurement, gender bilingual job ads, engaging with men as allies, young women and partners abroad. WIF has 5 active workstreams in place, with women and men of several member companies working together thematically. The objective is to help members progress on different topics such as inclusion, networking, recruitment & promotion, communication, and international outreach.
