    Borealis is one of the world’s leading providers of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions and a European market leader in base chemicals and the mechanical recycling of plastics. In 2022, Borealis announced its new 2030 strategy, that has sustainability at the center of all activities and committed to be a net-zero business by 2050 or sooner. Borealis focuses on the infrastructure, automotive, durable goods and advanced packaging markets, with the ambition to provide solutions that drive the circular economy. Borealis operates production facilities, innovation centers and service centers across Europe (Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Italy, Sweden, The Netherlands), in the Americas (USA and Brazil) and has joint venture partnerships in the USA and Middle East+Asia Pacific. The divestment of the company’s fertilizer business has been finalized in 2023. Borealis is committed to the principles of Responsible Care® and high ethical standards.
