    Goals / Remit

FCT is the coordinator institution of the public-public network ERA-MIN3, under the funding scheme ERA-NET Co-fund (Horizon 2020) which consortium partners are public research funding organisations. The objective of ERA-MIN3 on "Raw Materials for the Sustainable Development and the Circular Economy" is to strengthen the coordination of national and regional research programmes in the field of non-fuel non-food raw materials by implementing at least two joint calls for proposals resulting in grants to third parties. In line with the integrated strategy proposed in the EU Raw Materials Initiative, the Strategic Implementation Plan of the European Innovation Partnership on Raw Materials, the Circular Economy Action Plan, the Battery Action Plan and the Action Plan on Critical Raw Materials, ERA-MIN3 addresses specifically metallic, construction and industrial minerals, from exploration, extraction, processing/refining, as well as recycling and substitution of critical raw materials.
