    Communication activities

The largest event is the "Europe Biobank Week" organized annually in partnership together with BBMRI-ERIC. In addition, ESBB is the international lead partner of the International Biobank Conference in Doha, Qatar in 2019 and 2021. ESBB's last communication activity with the EU was answering the survey on the EU Data Strategy and an ESBB position statement to the EU Data Strategy. Furthermore, ESBB's working group on GDPR was giving a public webinar on practical implementation of GDPR. ESBB leadership together with the European Human Biomonitoring community recently published the following article: Towards Harmonized Biobanking for Biomonitoring: A Comparison of Human Biomonitoring-Related and Clinical Biorepositories (in Biopreserv. Biobank. 2020 Apr;18(2):122-135. doi: 10.1089/bio.2019.0092.)

    Other activities

The above indicated "participation in EU structures and platforms" rather indicates ESBB's interest to engage in these fields and topics in the future since as newly founded association in 2020, we are starting to become active in these fields.
