    Goals / Remit

RURENER is a network of rural communities committed to the energy transition and climate action. The goals of the organisation are to facilitate the exchange of experiences among rural stakeholders, to stimulate innovation for rural energy and climate action and to promote rural communities' actions at the European level by bringing local insights to European policy-makers.
Rural areas are often isolated but also very resilient and RURENER emphasizes the common challenges between these communities to reinforce their action potential. As a European network, RURENER creates a link between multiple poles of innovation in rural Europe for an optimal use of local resources.
Advocacy for rural territories is very important at RURENER, to give them a chance to speak up and to unite their voices for a better recognition in Brussels
At the European level, RURENER embodies this dialogue between local initiatives and European policies so they can shape each other in the most effective way
