    Goals / Remit

Coordination Diasporas In Sardinia - is a coordination established in 2019 and which has the main purpose of bringing together the Organizations mainly constituted and / or led by foreign citizens (diasporas) residing in Sardinia, regardless of the area in which they operate. Those associations of the Diasporas which also include International Development Cooperation and therefore which also operate in the field of international solidarity and development cooperation as well as on the territory in various areas, with particular regard to migration, have a preferential path. It is a coordination that therefore also aims at the recognition, involvement and enhancement of the diasporas in reference and their work in the territories where they reside and in the homelands of origin. Therefore, a recognition to migrant associations engaged in carrying out activities for sustainable development. Main EU files targeted

    1. MIGRATION AND DEVELOPMENT: a single European legislation (but with several hands and competences) in this field and which is drafted by experts in the sector (mother tongue intercultural mediators, migrant organizations (diasporas) operating in the sector and others). The involvement of mother-tongue intercultural mediators is due to the fact that, being migrants and also operators in favor of compatriots, they are able to contribute to the drafting of legislation consistent with the needs of migrants and consistent with the aim of ELIMINATING clandestine migration or irregular migration. . The problem of forced migration is solvable, if there are real intentions to do so!

    2. DIASPORE, NEW GENERATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION: A European legislation (it could be merged into a dedicated chapter within the MIGRATION AND DEVELOPMENT legislation) that promotes and enhances the work of diasporas (understood as migrants who are rooted in various European countries as their second homeland) both in the host territories (second homeland) and in the countries of origin of the various diasporas. To accompany this legislation there must also be a program dedicated to organizations of the diasporas for the implementation of projects in their countries.

    3. RIGHT TO FREE MOVEMENT IN EUROPE: Establish agreements with the various non-European countries to ensure that everyone can move freely in Europe for a period not exceeding 3 months, as a tourist.
N.B .: points 1,2,3 studied and well regulated would put an end to forced migration and a considerable leap could be made for many points of the 2030 agenda.

    4. YOUTH AND INDEPENDENCE: strengthening of youth policies with the addition of a program dedicated to the independence and responsibility of young people with socio-economic difficulties. A program that provides for an apartment (two-roomed) at the age of 18 that allows young people to leave the parental home and start taking responsibility for their own life and everything connected to it. The idea could be to create YOUTH CITADELS.

    5. Recovery of the building stock in the European community: Many European countries have a not indifferent building stock between public and private and at the same time a very large slice of the population residing in Italy does not have a roof and many other disadvantages. If we really want to achieve some of the objectives of the 2030 agenda, we cannot ignore this problem and this waste. Therefore a EUROPEAN PLAN for the recovery of the building heritage (not only housing), would be appropriate and would also create jobs for various sectors and various age groups.
