Goals / Remit
The UBTA is an independent platform of the Ukrainian export-oriented companies and sectoral business associations, representing a consolidated position and interests of its members at the EU institutions, EU Member States governments and their diplomatic representations at the EU, as well as selected European business associations and individual companies with trading ties and interest in Ukraine.
While the core UBTA membership is the Ukrainian agrifood sector, the Association seeks to represent other industries with a strong export component and a presence or focus on the EU market.
The Association’s toolbox includes monitoring and advising its members on developments in the EU trade law and policy affecting imports and market share of the Ukrainian exporters on the EU market, active outreach campaigns to stakeholders at the EU institutions on behalf of the Ukrainian business, public communication events promoting Ukraine as a reliable EU trading partner, attractive inv (...)Main EU files targeted

Communication activities
1. Carbon Border Adjustment Measure (CBAM) - outreach campaign to Members of European Parliament (INTA, ENVI Committee), involved in adoption of draft EU Regulation on CBAM
UBTA participated in public consultations by the European Commission on Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism. A position paper was submitted on October 27, 2020 (Contribution ID: 0dd13ed6-8705-4b59-a2a6-a541c849b667).
2. The UBTA sponsored a Ukraine-related segment at the yearly EU Business Summit hybrid event, http://ebsummit.eu/content.php?id=329, on November 16-17, Brussels, where it organized and helped launch an interview with Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and EuroAtlantic Integration Ms. Olha Stefanishyna.
